I really love the classic and elegant names. At the moment my favorites are:
Elinore or Elinor or Elanor (Maybe Elle or Ellie for short)
Alison
Any ideas like these? I really like the elegance and a name that has presence. However, I don't want a pompous or extremely old and too far out of the norm of now.Ideas on these baby girl names and others similar to it?
I agree with you and eventually names go full circle. Names I use to think were weird are okay now by most standards. I like the classics too and don't worry about sounding pompous. If you aren't then don't worry. I like Eleanor too and Allison, just different ways to spell them. Ellie/Elle is great and for Alison there is always Ally.. You are on a right track it seems to me.
Good luck
I think I like your taste! Eleanor/Elinor is near the top of my own list right now, and Alison is a lovely medieval classic that feels thoroughly at home on a modern girl.
Others that might suit your style:

Corinna (kor-INN-uh)
Clara
Rosalind/Rosamund
Miriam/Marianne/Marian
Millicent (recently gaining notice on message boards; could be due for a revival)

Beatrice
Sylvia (another I'd expect to become popular in 10-15 years' time)
Daphne

Dorothea/Dorothy

I like Elinore and Ellie for short for sure. Not so much on Alison, though I do like Allie. Here is a fun baby naming tool you can type in the name you like and it will give you similiar names. www.thebump.com/nymbler
Elinore is pretty and elegant. I would just spell it the more 'regular' way. Allison is cute too. Both are adorable really. I like Evelyn too. Evie for short.
I'm not big on the name Elinore since I think it's a little too old for my taste.. I'm more into the unique names. Good luck =)
Dorothea
Sophia
Eleanor
Mabel
Erma
Annette
Marilyn
Lila/Lyla
Rose
etc
Elenore I think is a good spelling cute with a nice middle name and can be Ellie
